An Introduction to Sports, Games and High-Fives!

The Griesbach Explorers is a unique spring program for children aged 4-6. It provides kids (and parents) a chance to get outside with neighbourhood friends once a week. Through games and activities, we introduce them to skills that form the basis of sports and play: kicking, throwing, running, stretching and teamwork. All in an informal, non-competitive environment!
Explorers will take place Monday evenings throughout May and June, at locations around Griesbach. Parents must accompany their children. Sessions will be led by parent volunteers. By volunteering to plan and lead two sessions, you can pay off your volunteer commitment.
There are spots available for up to 30 children, on a first come first-serve basis.
Program Schedule and Requirements
When: Monday Evenings, 6 – 7 pm
May 9 to June 27*
* No session on Victoria Day (May 23)
Fee: $50 (includes t-shirt and pizza party)
Age: For children aged 4-6 (born between 2015-2018)
Be a Parent Program Coordinator
We’ll be looking for 3-4 parent volunteers who are interested in preparing and leading activities for two of the evenings. This is a great way to fulfil your volunteer commitment.
Registration
May 4, 6:30 to 8:00 PM at 1605 Kerr Road
An (outdoor) in-person registration will take place at 1605 Kerr Road in Griesbach. You will be able to submit payment and choose a community volunteer activity. If you have any questions or can make it, email program coordinator Dave Neufeld.
You will need to bring:
- A $50 registration payment (cheque, cash, etransfer)
- A $250 volunteer deposit check (Made to Griesbach Community League)
- Proof of Griesbach Community League Membership ($25/household)
- Please bring a prood of age (social insurance, passport, birth certificate)
