Membership Details
Griesbach Community League offers a family/household membership. It covers all individuals who live in the home. Membership fees are determined annually by the GCL Board of Directors. The current Annual Membership is $25. We are proud to offer a complementary, no fee, membership to veterans and active members of the Canadian Forces.
Memberships run for one calendar year, and are valid from September 1st to August 31st.
If you happen to purchase/renew your membership near the end of a membership term (in June, July or August) – no need to fret that you’re not getting your money’s worth. It will be valid for the next full membership term.
Member Benefits
As a member, you are entitled to vote at the Annual General Meeting or special meetings and to run for a position on the GCL Board of Directors. In addition, there are other benefits of membership and reasons to join:
- Griesbach’s Annual Party at the Park – free with community membership or $10 for event wristband
- Griesbach’s Annual Easter Egg Hunt as well as other community events
- Ability to register for Griesbach community soccer, baseball and minis program
- Discounts at: Bar Burrito, Ripe Tomato Pizza, Eat & Dip, Funky Petals, Griesbach Massage and Wellness, Yardly, Cloverdale Paint, Acclaimed Heating and Cooling, and Free Skating at any outdoor community league rink with community skate tags.
- 20% discount on annual city of Edmonton facilities membership and other discounts on multi-passes and continuous monthly memberships
- Community swim at Commonwealth Community Recreation Centre every Saturday from 3-5 pm and Sunday 1-3 pm
Your membership money stays in the community and is used for community celebrations and improvement projects including playgrounds, parks and community parties.
