Annual Community Events
Griesbach Easter Egg Hunt
In 2010, Griesbach resident Lisa McCulloch and her family started what has become a popular Easter tradition. Playing the role of Peter Cottontail, volunteers hide Easter eggs around one of the neighbourhood lakes for the children (Little Bunnies) to gather and exchange for goodies. A Scavenger Hunt is also organized for the Junior Bunnies. BYOB–Bring Your Own Basket. The lake location varies by year.
Party in the Park
Every September, the Griesbach Community League hosts a jam-packed party that promises something for all ages. The location was originally at Perron-Berger Park but, more recently, has moved to Maple Leaf Park by Major General Griesbach School. This community party has included an art walk; bouncy castles; balloon artists; face painting; a photobooth, dunk tank, climbing wall and fireworks. For the adults, there are live bands, beer gardens and food trucks. It’s all free for community league members–except for the beer. Have a great idea for the next community party? We want to hear it!Watch a video of Party in the Park 2023
Pumpkin Walk
In 2020, Social Director Kelsey Franco started the beloved pumpkin walk as a social distancing event during COVID. Community members are given pumpkins to carve with their families and then display them around the lake to be viewed. Location varies by year.
Remembrance Day
On November 11th, please join us at Patricia Park for an annual Remembrance Day ceremony held by the Princess Patricia’s Canadian Light Infantry. We are extremely proud to have this important event take place in the heart of our community.
