Join us at Patricia Park, Saturday, November 11, 10:30 am for a Remembrance Day Ceremony hosted by the Princess Patricia’s Canadian Light Infantry.
It is always well attended, so we suggest you arrive early. Gault Blvd and Griesbach Parade will be closed to traffic and parking for a regimental parade featuring active PPCLI members based out of the Edmonton Garrison in Namao. The ceremony includes a reading of In Flander’s Fields, a prayer to the fallen and a moment of silence at 11:00 am.
Patricia Plaza was created in honour of the PPLCI, which was raised to join the Great War by Captain Andrew Gault in 1914. The unit has numerous battle honours to its credit, spanning from WWI to present day. These are listed on pedestals located at Patricia Park. There is also a memorial wall on site, with the names of PPCLI members who have given the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty.
It is always a first rate event. All members of the public are welcome.
