Griesbach Easter Egg Hunt 2018 is now sold out

We can now report that all the tickets for the annual Griesbach Easter Egg Hunt are gone. Anyone who didn’t hop to it will have to wait until next year.

The community league will welcome 200 little egg hunters, ages 12 and under, to Roundel Lake on the morning of Sunday, April 1.

We ask those who were lucky enough snag tickets to please arrive at the north side of Roundel Lake (that’s the far West lake in the community) by 10:20 a.m. to register. Bring your tickets and proof of community league membership. There will be coffee for the grown ups. Egg hunting starts at 10:30 a.m.

There will be NO TICKETS available at the event.

More details at the Eventbrite site.

GCL Annual General Meeting & Elections

Thursday, March 15, 7:00 pm – MGG School.

The Griesbach Community League Annual General Meeting is just over a month away. Come learn what is happening in your community, and vote for your new board. Coffee and snacks provided, with supervised activities for kids. You’ll require an active membership to vote. Memberships will be available at the AGM, for $25/household. Valid until September 2018.

Run for the board. Several positions up for election.

Are you a Griesbach booster? Do you have big ideas you think could make our amazing community even better? Do you have concerns or issues you’d like to make a priority? The best way to have a say and make an impact is to become a member of the Griesbach Community League Board of Directors.

Elections take place at our Annual General Meeting. This year, the following positions will be up for election. For a detailed description of each position and the responsibilities it entails, visit our website. It is not an arduous commitment, and it is a fantastic way to meet neighbours and make a difference.

Positions up for election:

Vice President | Treasurer | Communications Director | Volunteers Director | Facilities & Structures Director | Civics & Community Development Director | Social Director | Memberships Director | Parks & Gardens Director

Please email GCL President, Brad Tilley, expressing your intent to run by March 10th. Include you name, phone number and email address. To run for the board, you must be a resident of Griesbach and have a current Griesbach Community League Membership.

Communications superstar wanted!

After six years our communications director is stepping down. We would love to fill this position with someone who loves writing, is passionate about the community, and active on social media. Dave (our current comms person) will be available to provide training and support. If you’re interested we’d love to have you on the board.
