Griesbach’s most fantabulicious day of all ages entertainment is just around the corner. Figuratively and literally! Join us in Perron Berger Park (by the naval lake on Pegasus Blvd) on Saturday, September 26th between 1 and 6 pm.
For the little tykes and kids too old for trikes…
We have a mind-blowing mishmash of games, bouncy castles, face painters (Totally Twisted), balloon artists (Twisted Shapes), a hair painter (Whair Kids are #1) and a purveyor of spray-on tattoos. This year we’ve doubled the number face painters and balloon artists to shrink the lineups. Plus, we will have fire trucks on display.
Note: This year, children’s activities will be free for families with current Griesbach Community League members – and $5/child (or $10/family) for non-members. Wristbands will be provided. Spray on tattoos are not included. Griesbach Community League annual memberships are $25/household and will be available at the event.
For adventure-seeking teens & tweens (8 – 14)…
The Griesbach Amazing Race offers and opportunity to take on a number of challenges throughout the community and compete for some wicked prizes – including your fave gift cards. Grab your bestie… because we’re looking for teams of two. Individuals will be paired up. For registration and details click here. Hurry, registration deadline is Sept 23 at 4 pm. Free entry for GCL members. $5/non-members.
For the 18 and over – but far from over the hill – crowd…
May we suggest strolling our expanded Art in the Park art walk – sponsored by Pacesetter Homes. Featuring 27 astoundingly talented artists with stunning work for sale.
As a new feature this year, the Edmonton Quilting Society will be displaying an exhibition of quilts on the ship’s bow at Bedford Basin.

The next stop for grownups is our beer & wine garden. Have a cool one and enjoy the foot stompin’ tunes of The Roomers (a band that cohabits a bunk bed with contemporary country favourites on top… and rock ‘n’ roll classics on the bottom).
If you have a young face, don’t forget to bring your ID.
Finally, we will have food trucks on site for growling tummies of all ages.
The Shake at the Lake & Art in the Park is our signature event. Come join your friends and neighbours and see why it’s become the talk of the Village… and the town.
