Griesbach soccer program under new direction! Still seeking players.

Griesbach Community League is pleased to announce that our soccer program is under new direction. Bill Countryman was elected as our new Sports Director at our recent Annual General Meeting.

Bill is a resident and has been active in the program as a coach. He will be taking over all organizational and administrative responsibilities from Amanda St Jacques, who  is no longer involved in our program in a coaching, volunteer or administrative capacity.

Assisting Bill is Jen Chahal and Eric Sirrs. They are all incredibly dedicated to ensuring our program provides kids with an opportunity to have fun, be active, and learn the values of good sportsmanship and fair play.

WE DO HAVE OPEN SPOTS ON THE FOLLOWING TEAMS.

We are pleased to announce that we had a highly successful registration for the upcoming outdoor season. We will be fielding a full complement of teams in the U4 to U10 categories.

A few spots are still open. We’d love nothing better than to fill these spots with children from Griesbach. It’s a great way to get some exercise, develop skills and get a chance to play and interact with other neighbourhood kids.

U4 (MIXED) – 1 to 2 more players required
U6 (MIXED) – 3 to 4 more players required
U8 (FULL) – No players required
U10 (Girls) – 4 girls required
U10 (Boys) – 1 to 2 boys required

To register your child contact Bill at griesbachsportsdirector@gmail.com

We did not have enough older kids to field teams in the U12 to U16 categories. However, we did make arrangements to find spots for these children on teams in neighbouring communities.

Please join us in welcoming Bill, Jen and Eric.  Our soccer program is in great hands moving forward.
